Week 6 Recap

Kickballers,

Week 6 was chalk full of excitement, international mystery, who-done-it?, and Oh wait..I'm thinking of last night's Murder She Wrote. Anywho, it was still an enthralling day on the kickball field. Here are your game recaps:

Gordon Bombay's All Stars vs. Kicking Balls and Taking Names *

The skillful game planning of Gordon Bombay kept his squad on pace in the division race, with a solid 3-2 victory over Taking Balls and Kicking Names (see what I did there?). Kicking Balls made the same mistakes team Iceland made, team representative Alfred was just too cocky and thought they could easily overpower a Gordon Bombay coached team. Even an appearance by local celebrity Scott Whyte would not have made a different for Kicking Balls. Gunnar Stahl himself was rumored to have called Alfred and told him "you lost it for yourself".

Boozehounds vs. Empty Pitchers

The Empty Pitchers were in good form continuing their lead in the Riptide league, by jumping out to a 4-0 lead using timely hitting and distraction. The addition of a mascot more suited for the opposition left defenders perplexed. The Boozehounds battled back to make it 4-2 before realizing they needed to save their energy for the bar and any other necessary shenanigans.

The game was overshadowed however by an amazing (mis)play by Johnny Cramer (see below), which was a foul ball but neverless amazing.

More pictures forthcoming from Allison Knight who was the original inspiration for the lovely ditty Knight Moves by Bob Seger. Would I make that up?

* I didn't really see this game, but for the purpose of reporting I shall pretend that I watched this game religiously.
